About The Audio Editing Secrets Founder
Matt has worked in recording studios since 1993, when he started in his first job at Silk Sound in London’s Soho. Predominantly centred around voiceovers, he has worked with many big-name stars, including Idris Elba, Joanna Lumley, Ewan McGregor and Dame Diana Rigg, as well as numerous other stars of the entertainment world. As well as TV programs, commercials, documentaries, promos, trailers and audio books, he has produced numerous radio programs and podcasts in the last 30 years, and presents his own podcast called the Audio Editing Secrets podcast, which is managed from where he lives in Margate in the UK. He is also writing a book called “Recording Mum and Dad”, which teaches how to capture the voices and life stories of family members while they are still with us.
He has always loved training, teaching and coaching, and has developed this podcast training course to dedicate his 30 years of acquired knowledge to the purpose of uplifting the production values of the most accessible medium available.

My coaching process
I’ve taught many of my own staff how to do the job of a sound engineer, directed many actors and presenters to give the performance that is required to achieve the goals of the director, trained numerous industry professionals in technical equipment, and offered guidance to thousands in how to produce podcasts. Everybody responds differently to guidance, so my teaching process follows a pattern of tell, show, and do, so no matter whether you learn through speech, vision or action, you will have learned exactly what you need to from my course.
